Jai has worked extensively at the highest levels in TV, theatre and the music industry. With 15 years of education and experience in Vocal Coaching, her qualifications include a BA (Hons) degree in Humanities with Music, an MA in Professional Practice: Vocal Pedagogy and she is an Master Trainer in Estill Voice.
TV
Her TV work includes being a Vocal Coach on prime time shows for BBC and ITV including The Voice UK, Voice Kids UK, Little Mix The Search, Starstruck, Change Your Tune and Romeo & Duet.
Music Industry
Jai has coached several successful pop artists and bands from the start of their creative journeys through to world tours and multiple albums. She works as a freelance coach for artists and managers and has a long standing Vocal Coach role with Prestige Management.
Theatre
In theatre, Jai coaches performers for leading West End roles and consults for several top theatrical agencies and producers.

Vocal Coaching
All singers have different reasons for training the voice and have individual requirements from lessons; in all lessons Jai aims to provide safe vocal teaching, knowledge of vocal anatomy and technique and to build confidence in a positive atmosphere. With a career of nearly 3 decades Jai has many experiences to draw from and an array of pedagogical approached to teaching voice. Vocal Feedback
When we sing we don’t hear our voice like others do as we hear it through bone conduction. When we hear a recorded playback of our singing we can be really shocked by what we hear. It can be quite unfamiliar to us. Therefore, it can be difficult to analyse our own singing voice. Singers can be really critical of their own voice and can be overwhelmed by what they don’t like about it, failing to see what they are doing well. For improvement and progression we need to perform mindful practice and that is hard to do if you are unable to analyse and evaluate your performance constructively. Sometimes you just need another set of ears to listen to it.

Considering elements including melody, lyrics, structure, balance, dynamics, emotion, communication, vocal stylistics and technique Jai and Tom will analyse your original music and guide you towards your musical goals.
